About Me

I'm still figuring out my place in the world. A little late, but it still counts.

I constantly struggle between sticking to or challenging the status quo.

I have a strange and sarcastic sense of humour that only a select few (my friends) can comprehend.

I didn't travel much as a kid and I grew up thinking that the world outside Singapore is a cold and scary place. But I've been proven wrong time and time again.

This revelation has made me even more curious and invoked my desire to travel more to prove this theory wrong. There's always something new to discover and cultures to learn about. This brings me the greatest joy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to leech onto somebody's couch because I'm a poor student who wasn't forward looking enough to think about saving up for a holiday. And this is my last holiday before I'm a slave to my job foreverrrrr.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have my seasons for music.
Ranging from mainstream top 40 stuff to indie. I go by feel.

Movies.. The standard few? Shawshank, marvel movies, comedies-Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the heat, Judd Apatow stuff, Dan in real life, Stuck in love, the dictator.

The most recent interesting movie I watched was Captain Fantastic. Which revolves around a family that has been disillusioned with capitalism and have decided to live in the forest isolated from the rest of the world but forced to reintegrate under special circumstances.

Favourite quotes- "Are they sick? Everyone's so fat." "This house is a vulgar display of wealth and an unethical use of space!"

Books.. I can't remember. I haven't read a book in a while. But I used to enjoy reading books that were adapted into films just to see if they were how I imagined them to be. The last book I was reading was The Game by Neil Strauss. I don't read/watch horror, but Stephen King's other genres were pretty amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Represented my country in my sport. Providing constant care for my grandmother seems like a bigger accomplishment though.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to learn. Willing to teach and share whatever I can

What I Can Share with Hosts

My life in Singapore. My uniqueness, if there's any.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, Fiji, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam
