To eat cheese from every country that produces it, except for Italian worm cheese. I am not that dedicated.

ABOUT ME

I'm rather inelegant--sort of the Sailor Moon archetype who eats a lot (yet stays thin) and is incredibly clumsy--but not as useless, I swear. I'm generally a nice person and very practical. My normal attire is jeans, a T-shirt, and hoodie, although I dress like a hobo when it's cold--which is roughly 80% of the time, even though I live in California.

I'm a grateful person who believes in repaying favors and saying "please" and "thank you." :)

I have a spending weakness for good food. Despite my rag-tag attire, I've tried many upscale restaurants and am a pretty tough food critic.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be open minded about other people's lifestyles and tastes. It's pretty hard, I think, to not be judgmental towards people who live very different lives from oneself--it's easy to fall back on pejoratives like, "slut," "freak," "fag," and to feel superficially superior to people in order to mask one's own underlying insecurities.

If I make a snap judgment, I try to think about why I did so and then reevaluate as I get to know someone better.

I'm kind of an atheist, so life is... slightly pointless? I don't believe anyone really has any predestined purpose, but that it's still good to make life better for others if you can so everyone can enjoy it while it lasts.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wish I had my own place, but I rent a tiny room in a house belonging to an elderly couple, so I have no couch to offer. :(

I'd like to couch surf though!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was going to say "watch a giraffe give birth," but then I remembered that was only on Animal Planet and not in real life. This is a sign that I need to get out more. Somebody with a couch, save me!
