About Me
Hello👋👋 I'm Nadya from Indonesia, specifically from a small town called Klaten, it's a small town between 2 special regions, Yogyakarta and Surakarta/Solo, but now I currently live in Bali. I'm an ordinary and simple girl (I never did eyelash extension, use fake nails or wearing high heels not because I dont wan't it but I'm too lazy to maintain it😩) but with little extra complex mind and anxiety sometimes🙈. I'm actually an acute introvert but enjoy surrounded by nerd, artsy, positive and supportive people. I have severe ADHD and back pain as well.
In 2017 after got my associate's degree, I worked in Japan until 2020, in Aichi Prefecture. In the first year I lived there, I didn't go anywhere and even I didn't know why I was there😅, I didn't have any interest about Japanese thing. But in the last year, I hung out with besties to several places in Japan and realized that Japan is beautiful and amazing and I feel like I wasted my time before😩😭.
Being 30, I've been thinking about bunch of things, about the meaning and purpose of this life. I love history, documentary/inspirational movie, conspiracy theory, get to know the answer why people live and suffer.
As Nelson Mandela said "Brave is not the absence of fear but the ability to act despite it". I started to ask so many things after in 2020, my pastor's wife passed away from fainting during the summer in Japan and fell onto the platform while the train was about to come.
I asked God "Why you let this terrible thing happen to a good people and left very deep pain among people who love her??" I've been trying to get the answer.
In my whole life, I'm always getting annoyed and can't accept life being unfair (which is the root cause of my depression and anxiety). A friend who had a healthy lifestyle, didn't smoke or drink alcohol, and was a regular kapoera fan, died of lung cancer. Another friend's husband suddenly suddenly died of lymph node cancer despite having regular annual health checkups. But on the contrary, there are people who are very careless with thir lives but they have long life and (seems to be..?) happy. It took me quite some time to process it. Alongside with it, s There's no fair and definite formula in this mortal life.
And now in 2025 after many confusion, lost desire to live twice last year, watched bunch of videos related with biblical things or anything that maybe can give me understanding, at least now I understand a bit of that mistery and try to surrender to God's will.
My most favorite bible verse is:
1. John 14:1-6
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Having friends from around the world makes us feel like home. But Christ is my eternal shelter and dwelling place because with Him there's no sickness, no death, where my soul will rest.
Revelation 21:4
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The first reason, I want to have English speaking friends to meet and talk to improve my English because I need to get a good score on IELTS yet my speaking is broken and really slow like a snail😭 so I remind you in advance.
Second, even tho I've only travelled to 2 countries, just like any other third world countries citizen, travelling to Europe is a dream that I'll never let go of. Before I die, I'd like to travel to Prague, Hallstatt, St Michael's Mount, Budapest, Prinsengracht in Amsterdam, Delft, Copenhagen, Ghent, Salzburg, Freiburg im Breisgau, Edinburgh, Dolomites, Istambul and Sea of Galilee. And through Couchsurfing, knowing someone who lives in our destination city/country before going there gives a sense of relief (and to cut the budget of course😆😆🙈). For now I can't host someone because I live with my parents in a strict society, but I'd love to give any information about tourist attractions, foods and tips if you want to travel to my town or cities surround it.😁
Interests
I literally love every single activities but it makes me dizzy now😂 So maybe I'll just focus on cooking (DELICIOUS FOOD IS ABOVE ALL! PERIOD!), swimming and strolling around beautiful city or rural area (health reason), playing guitar and singing worship song (sanity wise) and drawing (I'll learn to paint and something I can't tell you here) as side hustle and want to use that money to give to elderly people who have no one or disabled worker and still have to work with their weak body and tired soul.
Doing something that isn't only fulfilling but also rewarding is more precious.
Matthew 25:31-46
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Books and Writers (or inspirational figures):
#1 Jesus, He is the most beautiful and the most influential person in history. His teaching is so hard and almost impossible for us as human to follow without understanding how much God loves us, such as forgive those who have wronged us not 2 or 3 times, but 70x7 times, in other words, forgive without limits and even commands us to love and pray for those who persecute us. His teaching and standard is so high and out of this world, because that is the standard of heaven, He literally brought heaven to earth. Can you imagine how this world would be with His teaching. There will be no fighting between brothers, no enmity between people, no swords, guns, bombs, missiles nor wars and destroyed building and human bodies and only people are left, live in extreme fear and suffering and hope to die. There will be no tears nor death. There will be only peace. Because He is the Prince of Peace.
#2 The Bible, a book full of incredible stories and adventures, great lesson for living life and prophecies about the future, I love Gospel of John, Book of Revelation the most.
#3,4,5,... Dale Carnegie books (his books literally process my humility and magnanimity), Gabor Mate (he is profoundly wise and genius physician, especially his theory about ADHD, my most favorite person to listen to), Erwin McManus (his motivational speech is powerful and mind blowing😵).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Exploring Kyoto, my most favorite traditional city in this multiverse, completely alone in a week from 9 am to 9 pm and take many good photos with my DSLR camera and tripod and when I went back to work and met a friend after that, he thought I was with my boyfriend bc he saw I uploaded many photos on my instagram story like someone helped me to take those photos (even tho in fact, I was fugging single!) and he didn't believe at all that I was alone😆😆😆.. and even tho it sounds scandalous for unmarried Indonesian to go on a vacation together, I just laughed at it and I considered it as a compliment to my amateur photography skills.
If you curious, I'll teach you how to set the focus while doing selfie with DSLR camera😄😁
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cook traditional recipe; take you to my favorit food (chicken satay with rice cake and peanut sauce, and siomay, fish cake with peanut sauce again😂) and crystal clear natural springs 5 minutes from my house.. it's so refreshing, and after that, we can get indomie noodle with egg and mendoan (fried tempe served warm☺️☺️☺️)
