Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not a typical tourist.
I seek constant opportunities to discover and immerse myself in the entire experience of the culture, people and settings of the places I visit. Not content to just visit historic sites and watch from the sidelines, I want to participate in the modern-day culture as well. I want to communicate with real people, attend local festivals, or go off the beaten path to discover how people truly live. So that's why I'm here.
