My name is Tasha. I originally come from Ukraine. After i finished school, i went to study music and after that i moved to Lithuania to learn Linguistics and Business at an International University. After graduation I got married to my husband Vlad and eventually we moved to beautiful city of Hamburg, Germany, where we live now. My husband and I are both IT Engineers and work at software development companies. We love meeting new people and making friends, finding beautiful places and exploring the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When i was a child, living in my parents house we always had people staying over and many of them were from different countries and for me it was the most exciting thing. As I grew up, I learned English and started working as interpreter and a tour guide in my city - I loved it. I also always dreamed of traveling around the world. After my husband and I moved to Germany, we started traveling more. And one of our favorite parts of traveling is meeting local people, getting to know local culture, traditions and best local places. Who is best to help one discover local gems and hideouts? I love all kinds of instrumental music, especially live smooth jazz. I love movies that inspire and raise your spirit, real life stories and historic films. I love to read historic novels and fiction and personal stories or biographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to think of a great or amazing act such as climbing Everest or jumping with a parachute, etc. One thing that i can say is that I love sharing my personal story and helping people that go through what I went through in my life.
