My friend Helena and I are on a mission to see every country in Europe. We're well on our way to realising our dream and are currently planning our next Interrail trip - starting in Cologne and moving north to explore Scandinavia and the Baltic states before returning home to Manchester, UK.

I was born and raised in Mallorca, moved to the UK when I was 12 and have also lived and worked in Germany. I have close ties with Sicily and spend a lot of time there too. It's safe to say that I'm addicted to travelling - I love immersing myself in new cultures and seeing different natural landscapes. I absolutely love my work (translating) and enjoy every minute of it. My other passions are natural sciences, plants and animals in general, cats of all shapes and sizes, playing the guitar, learning languages, the occasional yoga session and getting to grips with my new inflatable paddle board.

I've joined Couchsurfing because I want to experience the new countries we're visiting as an insider, not as a tourist - I'm looking forward to making new friends and finding out all of our cultural quirks ;)

If it's got dragons and/or witches in it, I like it! I'm a huge fan of Terry Pratchett, Diana Wynne Jones, J.K. Rowling and Tolkien. I've also read a few Steampunk novels and starting to develop a new interest in these too. I also look for fantasy and sci-fi when choosing films.
