Overview
About Me
I quit my job in Brussels to travel in Africa and the Near East together with my partner Thomas for a year. Best year ever. We’ve now settled down in Vienna for the near future and are looking forward to giving back some of the Couchsurfing love we received during our travels!
I wrote a few articles with advice on public transportation in African countries on my blog, might be interesting for you: https://greentravel.world
Besides travelling and learning new languages, I like to be outdoors, talk and laugh, read, go to the cinema, draw, paint and write, do sports (running, hiking, boxing, yoga) and play games. Also, I love meeting new people and getting to know different worldviews. I'm an open-minded and easy going person who is interested in way too many different things.
Thomas likes to play and watch football (he’s an Arsenal boy), be outdoors, obviously travel and learn new languages. He works from home, so you might see more of him than of me actually :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to travel the world, see beautiful places and especially meet interesting people. I think everyone has their own way of living and enjoying life and seeing the beauty out there and it is so enriching to try to see the world out of a different perspective. I also believe we can learn so much from exchanging with people whose lives are different from our own.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can get behind almost any music style. My sister is a musician and she has taught me that you just have listen and embrace it. I also really like music you can dance to.
My favourite book is probably The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, but I really love to read a lot, and have read many books that have left an impression on me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After graduating I travelled and volunteered in Southeast Asia together with Thomas for six months which was amazing! I learned how to dive and saw how beautiful the ocean can be, I lived on a remote island for a few weeks without ever wearing shoes, I had eye contact with an Orangutan in the jungle, I taught kids about art and hiked on an active volcano. Since then, I’ve done the same again in Southern and Eastern Africa - even more amazing :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I love discussing and exchanging about languages, cultures and worldviews, so I'd be happy to give you an insight into my culture and teach you some words and phrases in German/Austrian dialect or any other language I know and learn whatever you want to teach :-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook some tasty vegetarian dishes, help out with chores, teach you some German, share travel stories and tips.
