About Me

I am a Canadian currently living in Maastricht completing my Master's in Work and Organizational Psychology. I love living in Europe and I am trying to travel as much as I can and see well, everything! I am an avid sports fan. Hockey (of course!), rugby, and football (American, sorry!) are my faves. I also love exploring new restaurants, going out with friends and meeting new people.

Update: I'm leaving for some travel and then moving back to Canada in September, so won't be available to host for a while. Hopefully I can host when I get established again (wherever that may be). Happy surfing everyone :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Trying to find the best way to see as much of Europe, and the world as I can. Couchsurfing seems to kill 2 birds with one stone. Make travelling that much more affordable, but also give you the opportunity to connect with more likeminded people and meet locals in the cities you travel to.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really easygoing with my music tastes. I'll listen to just about anything, and I probably am not up on the newest song, band, whatever.

I love to read but since Netflix came into my life I watch way too much TV and read to little! I'm working on it... Some old favourites are Shantaram, The Time Traveller's Wife, Shake Hands with the Devil, Infidel, Flags of Our Fathers.... I guess my reading interests are bit chaotic too.

Movies - generally I like the bad chick flicks if I'm watching by myself. Otherwise a good drama or thriller. No horror though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the Nevis bungy jump in New Zealand. It was terrifying but so much fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to work on my Dutch. I'm pretty new at it and I don't practice enough. I always get nervous about making mistakes.

I'm not sure what I can teach or share - English if it's not your first language? Travel tips for places I've been? If you can think of something just ask and I'll do my best!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversation and hopefully some interesting stories from travels as well as hear yours. I will bring a smile and promise to be a good guest. If your kitchen supplies allow and you're interested I might even bake something for you :)
