Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am brand new to couch surfing, but I'm interested in finding and providing affordable alternatives to expensive lodging on short term trips.

FYI: I would never be okay with anything inappropriate either in my home with a guest or on a trip with a host... I only say this because while the majority of things I have heard are positive experiences, I have heard horror stories and I will accept behavior such as that.
