I grew up in South Africa but live and work in Alaska during the summer and mostly travel over the winter. I love exploring new places, especially outdoors. Hiking is one of my favorite pastimes. I've spent the last 7 weeks in the Golan volunteering at a hostel. I've learned a few skills there, one of which is folding a fitted sheet to perfection - I will leave your bedding in better shape than when I arrived.

I've heard great things about couch surfing from several friends - finally giving it a shot.
I love meeting people in hostels but I think this would be a great alternative.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Last year in the Philippines I spent three months swimming with over 50 individual Whale Sharks. I was volunteering with a marine conservation research organization. Every morning we would free dive with the gentle giants, taking ID photos and identifying each individual. It was such an amazing experience.
