About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm living in Monte Gordo, Bahía, learning portuguese, and figuring out what I want to do with my life 😎 I have a little farm with lots of fruit trees and also some chickens 🐔
ABOUT ME
I grew up in NYC, and I lived there from the age of 0-22. I am half Colombian, but I didn't learn spanish when I was little– but I learned it later thanks to traveling🔥 After graduating from University, I moved to Brazil. I loved to explore the cultural assets of New York, but, having lived there my whole life and it being such a high-energy city, I eventually found it rather jading, so I didn't want to stay there. I couldn't afford the rent anyway 😂 Growing up there has undeniably shaped me as a person, though, and I do love it. I also love Colombia!!! 🇨🇴
PHILOSOPHY
Do your best to maintain a structured empathy towards those who you have different experiences or beliefs from you and never be disrespectful when you disagree with someone. Oh, and, if someone doesn't know something that you do, don't be supercilious about. Try to expand your knowledge in whatever way you like to, whether it be traveling, reading, watching interesting videos on youtube-- whatever!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have met a couple cool people in New York through couchsurfing, and I've stayed with some amazing hosts as well. I've hosted a few people at my little farm in here in Brazil. I've always had positive experiences and am grateful for this community!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been great! I've stayed with people in Ecuador, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia through couchsurfing, and have met some cool people in NYC.
Interests
My favorite bands in English are the Talking Heads and Funkadelic. I have too many favorites in spanish to decide! I love music, and I love reading, although I don't get around to it often enough. I like going to museums, to see music, and checking out restaurants around the city.
