About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get the clear picture.

ABOUT ME

This year I have chosen to defer my enrollment at the University of Chicago to take a year off. At a practical level, I am looking forward to having this time to travel, read, work with my hands and learn/practice languages. On another level, I am ready to experience something real and raw, in and out of my comfort zone, simple and beautiful.

I laugh a lot, smile easily, eat appreciatively, and and up for almost anything. I am calm and considerate, and I hope you'll find me very low-maintenance.

PHILOSOPHY

I accept.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the CouchSurfing community but am eager to get involved. I hope to CouchSurf quite a bit this year as I will be traveling, and host when I am settled back down in Colorado and Chicago!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat in the back of an open-bed truck with twenty-five African students as we sang and drummed and screamed and chanted over pot-holes and through clouds of dust.

Teach, Learn, Share

The most valuable thing I have to share is my perspective. My youth and my travels are a part of it though I can't really put it into words. I am also happy to give lessons in English. I am very interested in writing, and would love to come across someone who could read over my "stuff" and let me know what he/she thinks. Also, I'm dying to learn to play guitar or piano.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Greece, Spain, Zambia

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Italy, United States
