About Me
ABOUT ME
I graduated from Mount Holyoke College in '13, with a degree in astronomy and geology. I'm working as a Research Assistant in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Swimming and rowing are my favorite sports, and I grew up by the Atlantic, so I feel happiest by the sea. I'm low-key and quiet as a guest, and I love travel.
PHILOSOPHY
Strangers are friends you haven't met yet.
Be as open-minded as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would rather spend money on world experiences than hotels with plush bedding or fancy soaps. Couchsurfing is a way we can share our lives and space with other good people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed in Gloucester, MA, as I needed a place to stay while obtaining my scuba diving license. It was a great experience!
Interests
Watching movies and shows, reading, astronomy, swimming, hiking, exploring, geology, history, costuming and sewing, and learning new things! I'm in the SCA.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently helped to name a crater on Mars.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I try to be as polite and respectful as possible when I'm a guest. I can share my knowledge of the planet Mars and our place in space, since I'm a contracted scientist for NASA. If I travel with my boyfriend, he can cook you some yummy food!
