About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Student at Michigan, and traveller of the States!
ABOUT ME
The most 'adorable adult'. I am an English exchange student who adores travel, sketching and meeting quirky new people. Having had the opportunity to travel throughout this year, I will be concluding my time in the states while traveling with my friend and housemate, Angus.
Angus is adorable, too.
PHILOSOPHY
Embrace friends. Embrace art. Embrace God.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a surfer as I do not have my own coach right now. I like to show my gratitude with cookies, wine and English treats! Angus has been know to buy flowers for our hosts!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couch surfed before in Pittsburgh PA, and it was one of the best experiences of my life! My hosts were wonderful, having shared life, food and vintage dress-up together! Angus knows what a couch is.
Interests
I love dancing and live music, I take every opportunity for Salsa and also swing dance. I also like Ceilidhs - that's Scottish/English folk dance, but I also play fiddle for those! I'm an illustrator/animator and love to draw, and can occupy myself quite happily drawing the scenes and the people in any new location.

Music, Movies, and Books
We are both pretty into salsa music right now, and looking out for beats we can fit a dance style to. We both enjoyed the recent independent movie, 'Chronicle', although some others didn't appreciate it! Watching a lot of filmic and animated short recently, having it just been the Ann Arbor film festival. Always up for an honest critique after a movie!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A lightning storm in upstate New York - blew me away, didn't know a storm could be so incredible!
Lake geneva is beautiful, especially by Evian and Montreux - so blue and idillic.
Last semester I learnt how to cook for 50 people - that was pretty surprising!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am an artist, crafter, animator and fiddle player. I am your stereotypical english chick, and passionate about the British/American Dynamic. Angus had lived in Asia for half his life in his Chinese homeland of China (Hong Kong) or the colonies, as I call it... not really. His certainly knows his origami - he just calls it paper folding. We collaborate on art - through ideas, making and photography. This year together, we have traveled to NYC, Toronto and Miami Beach with our housemates. We went to Ben and Jerry's last week, also.
