About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to survive the world. with the current economy, I'm thinking of going straight to grad school intead of taking a break.

ABOUT ME

All about me....ok.

I absolutley adore traveling. I think the best way to experience a new culture is through FOOD. "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern" is my favorite show, followed by "No Reservations."

I have a bike. I just sorta kinda got into the biking thing. Not as in, motorcycle, or even fancy bicycle - I have a little crap bike but I love it all the same and ride all around Boston.

I was born in the US, but my mother was born in the former Czechoslavakia, so at the time she and my father got married, it was still communist, so they didn't recognize her marriage to him (since it was in a church). So, according to them, I was born "out of wedlock" which MEANS I was automatically given Czech citizenship. So I'm a dual citizen. But I don't speak Czech. Well, I know how to say "frog" in Czech.

I like Cherry Garcia.

PHILOSOPHY

I live for smiling. If someone makes you unhappy, don't stick around hoping things will get better. Go out there and find someone who makes you giggle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's hard, I live in a really cramped apartment right next to Fenway Park (so I'm paying for what should be a palace but really is a closet), so it's hard to host surfers. Some of my friends, do, though, and I always make an effort to go out and meet their hostees.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

none! first time surfer!

Interests

Sadly, I admit a slight addiction to Perez Hilton. But I read CNN more. Love politics, debating, world events, picking up as many languages as possible without actually taking classes. I like 1950s Sci-Fi movies (the ORIGINAL The Day the Earth Stood Still).

Wishbone was a good TV show.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music...well everything, to a point. I do like country music (even as a Northerner) and a fair bit of OAR, Granian, etc. It's not so much that I hate death metal or rap, rather it's that I can't listen to it for that long.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got in the middle of a drunk Scottish man beating up his wife in the middle of the street and got slugged in the process. but he got locked up, so it was worth it.
