A passionate and restless spirit who loves learning and being challenged. Full of curiosity, joy, and eagerness to discover the world and its many faces. Just hoping to leave this place a little better from me being here :)
After graduating from university, I spent two years in France teaching English, and now for the time being I'm back in my hometown of Lafayette, LA and would love to continue to meet other travelers!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people, as well as discovering new cultures, ideas, and perspectives.
I love exploring and discovering new things- I like to look at the world from different perspectives and learn from each new one. I like taking the road less traveled. I really enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories...where they're coming from, where they're going. I love being outside (hiking, canoeing, camping), and I have a particular love for heights- hence, I quite enjoy climbing (trees, mountains,..) I enjoy reading and writing, although it's often hard for me to find enough time to do those as much as I'd like. And I also like to sing, just for the fun of it. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a pretty wide variety of music. I particularly enjoy movies and book that carry some kind of meaningful message in their plot. My favorite book of all time is Les Miserables, not because it was a fun, easy read, but because it made me see the world and people in a new way.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled solo in several foreign countries. It can be a little scary and even lonely at times, but it's a very rewarding experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share stories, ideas, culture, good conversation (in English or French)... just an overall good experience with a host. :) If they are free and willing to explore the area with me, great!
