About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel the world, be kind, make connections with people and learn about different cultures, worry less, appreciate the beauty of life and have try to have a good laugh doing it
ABOUT ME
Started my first big trip in 2013 alongside my big sister exploring India, SE Asia and Australia. We parted ways and I spent a year in beautiful NZ travelling then working in Hanmer Springs for 7 months. After a few months visiting family and friends back home I'm now back in NZ travelling until the end of August.
I love being outdoors and exploring the beauty of nature, going hiking and camping but I can also appreciate the hustle and bustle of an exciting city. I'm pretty easy going, friendly and considerate. Love meeting new people and swapping travel stories, live music, admiring cats and drinking tea (I am English after all!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think couchsurfing is a brilliant concept. My sister and I couchsurfed a couple of times in Australia (using her account). We met some wonderful people who hosted us in Darwin and Brisbane. I then couchsurfed a couple of times in Melbourne on my own which I was quite nervous about, but my hosts were absolutely fantastic and made me feel completely at home!
When I eventually settle down and have a place of my own I'd love to offer my couch to travellers and treat them as well as I've been treated
Interests
I trained as a holistic therapist so I'm interested in alternative therapies, massage, yoga etc. Also enjoy reading, hiking, watching films, music, crafty things (i'm teaching myself to crochet), cooking/eating, enjoying a few beers or G&T's, going to gigs and I'm a massive animal lover. Love to explore markets and second hand shops searching for treasure! One day I'd like to have a bit of land to live off grid, grow my own food and maybe have a cafe so I can collect teapots and host lots of lovely travellers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Impossible to choose just one! I've been very lucky to have seen and done some amazing things in the past couple of years including paragliding in Goa, whale watching in Kaikoura and skydiving in Franz Joseph. Natural wonders are always the things that take my breath away the most, like seeing the Himalayan foothills for the first time, the amazing rainforests in Aus and the Tongariro Crossing in the snow!
