About Me

[PLEASE READ THIS FIRST : I started to use Couchsurfing quite some years ago and I have a very good experience as I already travelled/received CSurfers with my mother when I was in high-school. Now that I am an independant citizen of the world, I started my own profile 😃 You can consult my mother's profile which mentions me as a proof of reliability !

I am a cheerful 21 years old student from France and I love to meet new people and listen to their life stories ! I study materials engineering in an european school (the EEIGM) in Nancy (north-east of France) and I speak English almost fluently. I also have a pretty good level in German and I've been learning Spanish for the last 3 years ; I'd also like to start learning Russian (already know how to read it) and Swedish, as I am going to spend at least 6 months in Erasmus in Luleå from next January on.

I have quite a solid experience with Couchsurfing and I know rather well how it works, so you shouldn't have to worry about the lack of reviews on my profile ! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have quite a solid experience with Couchsurfing and I know rather well how it works : I travelled 1 month in Canada with my mother some years ago and we only went from couchsurfer to couchsurfer : it was a fantastic experience ! Besides that I'm used to welcoming couchsurfers at home (thanks again to my mom), and enjoying the night-long discussions about anything and everything :)

Interests

I love music in all its aspects : I started playing saxophone when I was 6 years old (done 12 years in a conservatoire learning classical and jazz music) and I've been learning guitar for ~4 years. I also sing with alone or with my band.
Music truly is a big part of my life, as I love to listen almost every genre that exists and discover new ones (however I can't really stand commercial pop music that's on the radio). Though if I were forced to name the genres I listen to the most, I'd say reggae/dub, funk, blues, metal, techno and underground electro, and a few more.

I love watching movies too! I used to watch a lot of different things before I quit high school but now I don't have as much time as before. Anyway, my favourite filmmakers : Christopher Nolan (Interstellar, Inception, The Prestige, ...), Denis Villeneuve (Incendies, Sicario, Arrival, ...) and Quentin Dupieux (absurd movies like Reality, Wrong Cops, Le Daim, ...).

I also really like sports ; especially skiing and biking, but also swimming or rugby among other.

I'm passionate about craft beer : tasting and home brewing. I don't have personal brewing equipment yet, but I already brewed some beers and I plan to buy equipment for home brewing anytime soon !

Music, Movies, and Books

🎼 : Pretty much every (non-commercial) genre that exists ! From reggae/dub to metal, including electro, jazz, rap, folk, classical,... Currently in a big funk/disco/soul reworks phase

🎥 : My top 3 favourite filmmakers : Christopher Nolan (Interstellar, Inception, The Prestige, ...), Denis Villeneuve (Incendies, Sicario, Arrival, ...) and Quentin Dupieux (absurd movies like Reality, Wrong Cops, Le Daim, ...).
I love this kind of movies that play with your mind !

📖 : Mainly sci-fi and fantastic (big fan of the Tolkien universe) books, I also love reading good comic books series (XIII, Blueberry,...) and graphic novels (e.g. V for Vendetta or Watchmen)
