Overview
About Me
We are a family well rooted in the little town of Ojai, California. We live on two acres. My husband, daughter, mother and I are growing a homestead, with many chickens, goats, and a couple dogs. We milk our goats and make cheese - working on yogurt recipes. We've got lots of raised beds and over 60 avocado trees. We are a mellow bunch that love our home just steps from endless national forest lands.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I traveled when I was a youth and enjoyed the opportunities I had to stay with locals. I now want to give that same opportunity back. I want travel to beautiful places to be accecesable to a wider range of people with differing resources.
I also want to bring diverse people into our home for my mother. As she ages she is less able to travel the world herself but she loves to meet diverse people and offer her hospitality - as is the Iranian tradition.
Interests
Sustainable living! Children, hiking, poetry. My husband loves science and astronomy. My mother was and is a spirited political activist, advocating for peace and equality. She loves to share stories and hear stories. Our daughter is six and loves people!
