ABOUT ME

I'm very easy going, and I like pretty much all things well-intentioned, fun, outdoorsy, school-y, adventurous and many more adjectives! I play competitive rugby, and I like or have played pretty much every sport. For a long time I was a competitive rower.

I love hiking, canoeing, wandering, climbing mountains. Pretty much any outdoor pursuit!

I also really love learning and practicing new languages. I grew up in a bilingual household (German and English), which fostered my love of languages. I also like trying new foods and learning about different cultures and cool idioms of the places I visit.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I only recently heard about couch surfing, thus so far I've only been able to take advantage of being a couch surfer, but I'm very excited to get home and start repaying the favour and hosting people and hearing all about their cool adventures!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

SO WONDERFUL!! I couchsurfed across Europe for 3 months and was constantly amazed at how welcoming, friendly, kind, fun, warm, cool and inspiring all of my hosts were. It's just such an awesome environment!!

兴趣

I really love sports. I played rugby for my university team as well as my provincial and national team. I spend a lot of time training when I'm in the city, but equally as much as I love sports I love being outdoors and travelling and living without a schedule.

I really like canoeing. I taught canoeing at a summer camp for two summers and then I worked as a canoe tripper at the camp for the next four summers. In general, I'm very involved in Outdoor Education/Recreation. I worked at a leadership training facility with a high ropes course for a few years and loved it!

I'm a big reader. I love books, getting recommendations, and discussing books when people are interested. I also love to chat with people about anything and everything. :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I went on a five day hiking trip of the Grand Canyon and the first time I saw the Canyon laid out in front of me and then began to understand it's insane vastness I was absolutely awestruck!!

The first time I ever sang the National Anthem for team Canada playing for their U20 rugby team was absolutely unbelievable. We played in torrential downpour and lost to England, but I will never forget standing arm in arm with my teammates singing our anthem.

The first time I ever went camping in BC and saw the first beach that we were going to be staying on. It was just SO beautiful!!! I could not believe it was real!
