ABOUT ME

Hey,

My names Nathan, but I'm called Nate! So what would you like to know? I'm 20 years old and go uni do all that cliche stuff and study party etc. However I have some passions I love my music, I play saxophone, african drums, and mix djing. What sounds good if its got kick, heart and something to it! I skate and snowboard, live is so much faster on a board. I don't like feeling trapped or slowed down, I LOVE meeting people my job is being a brand ambassador for Apple so I talk to people everywhere and just talk! I also love games (hence why Japan). I study culture and media. I am so happy studying this and believe through my travels I can learn so much more from people there stories, and experiences. I want to talk, listen share ideas. Disagree and agree. Mixing and sharing and being real. Those are three ideals I love and practice.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in positive mindset. We've all become conditioned my media and by the people around that there is limits and meanings associated to things. I don't believe in superficial things, and there are no boundaries- You can actually do anything you want, you just need the right mindset. I've had so many lessons taught to me, and learnt from people. I believe it's not where your going its all about the journey, the ups and downs, who you meet and how you over come challenges and rejoice at the end!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have travelled around Australia and have met wicked travellers and they stayed at mine. I hope to learn, grow and build in the CS community. Right now I'm starting off, I strive to learn from current CS amigos the way of being a great host and what being part of CS is so much more than just an online community-that there is real people behind the profile. I am to be a host and have plenty of travellers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I am new to couch surfing I haven't surfed directly with the couch surfing community. But I have travlled around and stayed at people's house's. Other east Australia about three hours out of Melbourne I stayed at a farm in Jindivick for several nights. It was great fun! Cows and meadows, we went duck hunting and quad biked was an amazing experience. I've also had travellers who I met at Karri Valley stay with me. Was the most fun I've ever had in my home town. I showed them around all Perth, discovering new places and falling in love with my home state- Perth.

I adore music, I love indie-hip/hop. And practically anything that is awesome- I'm very open minded when it comes to music. I love my games and am Playstation devotee. I work for Sony aswell promoting PS3 which I find to be more a social pastime than work. I love my technology especially the internet but always want to be outside. I skate, long board and snow board. I have a great interest into media, society and culture- its what I study at University, but find these three topics are transcend into all issues of life.

Books: Into the Wild. I relate so much to Chris Mccandles. Read the book and it gives you so much more than the movie. He was a deeply hurt individual and sought refuge in life and nature. I can understand why he did this and thats why I love this book.
Music: This list could go on for days- I have over 15,000 songs in my Ipod. Not all the best, but some amazing beats and tunes. I've never had a person not like something I play for them that I believe they will like.
Movies: I moved off movies for a bit and am more a fan of shows. I love Dexter, Californication, South Park, Weeds, Entourage, Star Wars The Clone Wars. These shows I believe have great plots and are genuine great entertaining shows!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Falls Creek- I used to work on a station which was at the highest peak of the mountain range. I'd be the last on the mountain and get to watch the sunset. It was amazing. I felt like king of the world. I thought to aid this feeling I'll stand butt-naked on the mountain just me and nature. Was very cold but I just laughed at my stupidity and enjoyed my naked private moment with the mountain and sun.

I can give you my opinions on media, cultural understanding and anthropology. I LOVE history and hearing about native country stories so please share. I will gladly share how Australia is from our landscapes, to the people. I have many amazing stories from saving people people in lakes, to the craziest relationship stories. I like to think I've had a few strange encounters, but I know there's so much ahead of me. I was brought up in a very Catholic environment, I can say now I'm not really in that environment- I'd love to talk about different religions especially if you are religious I would love to learn your religions teachings and practices and share what I learnt.
