Hey there! New to couch surfing and currently living in CA, but not in an ideal hosting situation. I'll be relocating to Virginia soon, and will hopefully be in the position to host some of you surfers, so figured I'd check out the site and learn a thing or two.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from other areas and cultures/learn from others/open my mind and my life even more.

Interests

My interest are pretty spread and varied, everything from my job to hiking, reading to pottery, gyming to microbrews. I plan to get back to school soon and start applying for grad programs, so bring on the ejumacashun.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music interests are as varied as my general interests, my standby is blues music. Marc Broussard is somewhere at the top of the list, as is Nickel Creek, and a new favorite is a band I stumbled on in San Francisco called Magic Giant. (LOOK THEM UP!!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With a career in healthcare, I'd say I've had the chance to see and do many amazing things. I've also had the chance to work with indigenous tribes in Honduras, and explore underground lakes in the Dominican. Amazing things are experienced on a daily basis.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd say I'm a bit of a late bloomer to adventure. Couch surfing is a new one for me, but I hope to take it up on the regular when I'm traveling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Once I get settled into my new home and lifestyle, I hope to offer a couch and/or bed to guests. Entertaining conversation, good food, sightseeing around Virginia, etc
