ABOUT ME

I'm Nate, I like to meet good people and drink good beer. Most of the time they go together. I've recently picked up longboarding and have become an active member of the Austin Longboard Club. ALC ALL DAY! I'm majoring in Economics at UT-Austin but am looking forward to doing some traveling once I graduate. I figure I'm too young to get too serious too soon. Look out for me in town near you!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a very open and outgoing person. I try to maintain an upbeat personality and love to make people smile. I try to further myself as a person by learning from others. I try to not take myself too serious and always try to have fun. I believe you can always find the positive in something, even out of the worst situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking forward to hosting people at my house 2 miles east of downtown Austin. I want to show people how great this city is in its many different respects. Once I get some comfortability with this whole CS thing I hope to take some long road trips.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pretty much anything but country western. I mainly listen to Hip-Hop, Intstrumental and Experimental Rock; Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Hi-Tek, Jurassic 5, A Tribe Called Quest, Common are just a few hippity hoppers I enjoy.

Movies: I like most movies. I'm not too picky on this one.

Books: I don't have a ton of time to read what I like but some notables I've read are, The Intention Experiment, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Breaking Open the Head and A Brief History of Time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

spent 5 days backpacking in the teton wilderness in wyoming which is also home to the densest grizzly bear population in the lower 48
