Hey everyone :-)

my name is Nathalie and I'm 32 years old. I am pleased to meet interesting people from all over the world and to learn and grow during my journeys. I am open-minded, thoughtful, friendly, reliable and honest. Also I am very tidy and considerate, in case you want to host me ;)

In 2015 I’ve been bitten by the travel bug like most of the people here as well. After graduating in 2014 I decided to leave my hometown Bochum in Germany temporarily to start my first solo travel for at least one year. My first trip has been very challenging and equally enormously rewarding. The way I see and think about the world and also about myself has been changed in many different ways. I want to learn, see, experience and grow even more ever since.

In 2015/2016 I was travelling through New Zealand and Southeast Asia for 15 months. After some tough months at the beginning of my trip, I finally learnt English and lost the fear of speaking it, which opened so many doors in my life.

After this first experience and being at home for a while my next destination became South America. In 2017 I travelled Colombia with one of my best friends (an Argentinian girl) and in 2018 Ecuador and Peru by myself. Last year I lived half of the year in the US and the other half back home in Germany.

Since January 2020 I’m on my next (and considering the age limits probably also my last) Working Holiday adventure in Australia. We will see how long for ;)

For the future I have many more countries on my travel list. Considering that I love colorful, interesting and in general all different kinds of cultures, I’m really thankful that the world and its people have so much to offer. Especially if a country has a great food culture I’m already convinced. I just love the Asian kitchen :)
Maybe I will go back to South America again after my current trip or I will travel India or even Africa for the first time. Or some of all the very different European countries. In any case I’m looking forward to wherever my spirit of adventure takes me.

Maybe we will meet one day :-)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a really good possibility to meet locals in places where I'm travelling. It's the best way for an authentic experience and to meet people and make friends all over the world.

Forming your own personality is all about people you meet in your life!

Photography, dancing, travelling, hiking, climbing, handcrafts (woodworks), being & working outside, reading, talking about everything and anything :-)
