After studying and working for 2 years in Paris, I decided to ask my employer a sabbatical to go traveling an English speaking country. I made the decision to stay for one year in New Zealand thanks to the Working Holiday Visa that gave me the opportunity to work and travel the country. As I am now finishing this travel I can say that this great experience allowed me to discover an amazing country, meeting and living with Kiwis and fellow travelers and to improve my English skills.
Oceania is a great region to visit and New Zealand is a very good base camp to travel it. After visiting some Pacific Islands I am now heading to Australia...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have experienced in NZ the wwoofing way of traveling and I enjoyed this way to meet new people and different lifestyles. I guess that Couchsurfing is an other good way to travel a country, staying close to its people.
I am definitely a mountain lover and yet living in Paris... Mountains sound to me like paradise. I could stay hours on a summit, watching the surroundings, enjoying the most peaceful places you can find on Earth.
Trekking, climbing, skiing, kayaking and many other outdoors sports are my main hobbies...
Traveling sounded first to me like the perfect way to reach new landscapes and playgrounds. But after this year in New Zealand I realised that it was much more. Traveling is eventually a way to grow up in many ways... I can understand a bit more how it can become an addiction... I have now at least a dozen of ideas of destinations for my next trips!!!
I also enjoy taking photos but I miss a good camera, and playing the guitare but I miss talent...
- outdoor activities
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
This is always a question I cannot answer... There are plenty of songs, movies or books that I love, I am not able to elect my favourite ones. I would lie electing one since I would be able the next day to find another one even better...
However I can say that I should spend more time reading...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This amazing 2 weeks trek in Corsica called "GR20". I met there the friends who gave me this idea to start traveling...
