Hello!

My name is Nathan Sidell. I'm 21 years old and from the United States, specifically the State of Alaska. I love to travel and I hope to meet great people and make plenty of new friends.

I'm a current college student at American University in Washington, DC and I study International Studies with a focus on the Middle East.

I like to think I'm funny and I'm pretty low maintenance. I hope that you can show me around wherever you are and show me the sights and teach me where I can get cheap food on the dl but I can explore on my own if you're too busy as well!

Couchsurfing is a great (and cheap!) way to meet new people and make friends/acquaintances/facebook-friends-that-never-talk-but-occasionally-like-each-other's-pictures and that's really what life is all about.

Interesses

I like reading, Netflix, working out, running, exploring, generic stuff like that. Also reading too far in depth about random topics on Wikipedia because I get bored easily and I love to learn. I tend to read extensively about the world and all of it's crazy nuances along with staring at maps. Maps and flags are incredibly interesting to me as weird as that might sound.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I honestly like almost all genres of music and I think most people do as well. People who say that they only like one type of music tend to be pretty narrow minded and coincidentally, boring people. The only type of music I don't like is heavy/death metal and I honestly gave it a shot but it was too harsh for my tastes.

Sometime you just have to get really gangster with some DMX while mouthing along to the few lyrics you know and making really repetitive-but-aggressive hand gestures. Sometimes you have to get really intense by pretending you're Christina Aguilera while holding an imaginary microphone in the shower. Sometimes you have to get in touch with your inner 13 year old girl and get slightly effeminate by dancing poorly to old school Brittany Spears while yelling the words offkey and out of tune after a few alcoholic refreshments.

Music is too broad and has too much variety to lock yourself into one genre and claim that your sounds are superior to someone else's sounds.

I once ate an entire package of Oreos in one sitting while marathoning Breaking Bad. Sometimes I regret peaking in high school but then I look back to that moment and remember it was all worth it.
