About Me
I'm an eclectic backpacker from Australia that would love to warm your couch! I strive to live with an open-mind to absorb as much information and ideas as I can. I'm rather outgoing and chatty which gives me the perfect medium to share my travel and life experiences. I'm always interested to hear your story too!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started using this platform when I was making my way around Venezuela. There was a lack of hostel infrastructure in the country and I didn't want to stay in hotels all the time. After a friend encouraged me to try Couchsurfing, I realised how enriching my experiences became. There was an exchange of cultures that I'd never felt before and it made me build a totally new perspective. The places I visited became ever more memorable and I want to continue experiencing things this way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge fan of music! Anything indie, rock, alternative and in-between! Some of my favourites include The 1975, Gang of Youths, Radiohead, Sticky Fingers, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Strokes, Jeff Buckley and The Smiths. I even started learning the guitar :)
I enjoy movies but I'm not a fanatic. Recently I've delved into romance, comedy and drama but I can really watch anything (as long as its good). My favourite movies are Notting Hill, Ratatouille and Shrek.
Books are something I don't indulge as much, however I do want to read more. The last book I read before I left home was A Little Life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My friend and I visited one of the most culturally preserved indigenous villages in Colombia called Nabusimake. Home to the Arhuaco people, this community felt deeply authentic, protected and alive. Doing this was genuinely amazing because of how remote this place was to reach (9-hour hike!) and the fact that it was not open for tourists. So how did we do it?
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English! I love to write so I can help you nail your grammar! I also love to cook. Although I'm no chef, I can show you what I can do! It's also fun to cook together :)
There are so many things to learn. I would love to get better at guitar. I also want to pursue my passion for scuba diving by eventually becoming a divemaster and instructor. I enjoy being outdoors, both land and sea, mountains and beach. So I would love to learn outdoor survival skills, how to run a farm and how to sail!
As I've been travelling Latin America, I've fallen in love with learning Spanish, so that is something that I'm dying to continue.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My experiences, stories and ideas. I've been to interesting places and done interesting things. Most importantly, a smile and a laugh!
