Favorite novelist is Kurt Vonnegut, but I love the Russians: Pushkin, Lermontov, Gogol, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Bulgakov. Obsessed with Tom Robbins back in the day. I'd probably still dig his writing. Sherman Alexie is great. Have a soft spot for classic sci-fi. Favorite poets are Aime Cesaire and Mary Oliver. Big into non-fiction . . . history, anthropology, philosophy, ecology/alternative food systems. Some favorites are James Scott, David Graeber, Michel Foucault , William Cronan, and Michael Pollan.
