ABOUT ME

My name is Nathan Matthews. I am the founder/creative director for a non profit called Make Hearts Out of Paper. I grew up in an abusive home and I dedicate my life to helping kids who grew up like I did. I am a musician that has toured professionally for artists like Sage Francis...I am outspoken, genuine,appreciative and interested in learning about what makes people who they are. I am the father of a beautiful 9 year old girl named Akoda. I am married to a wonderful woman named Elizabeth who is the president of my foundation and also works as a charge nurse at a psychiatric hospital.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know what happens after I leave this earth... I have no control of that.. However, I DO have control of where I go while I am alive. I won't waste my time sitting still.

Making dreams come true is as simple as putting the idea in your head....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never taken part in a couchsurfing experience (other than crashing at friend's homes while traveling)
I AM used to waking up in a new and exciting environment and meeting new people while playing music on the road.
