CURRENT MISSION

Just trying to learn about the world a little by traveling around. I'm interested in learning about different cultures, different interesting jobs people have, different ways people live together, and I'd love to work abroad and learn new languages.

ABOUT ME

I guess the main things you really ought to know about me before we meet in person are that I get along with pretty much anyone, I'm friendly and easygoing, I love to meet new people, and I try to do my best to always be respectful.

Some more specific stuff about myself is that I'm a 24 year old male, I grew up mostly in Georgia, went to college at the University of Georgia where I studied Anthropology and Sociology. I loved both of my majors and still enjoy discussing them at any opportunity. Outside of school I worked with a lot of non profits and was very active at our campus radio station.

Since graduating I've been bouncing around to different cities like LA and New York, doing a collection of things from social work to carpentry. I've also been playing a lot of music and reading a good bit.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't participated in the official couchsurfing network much yet, but I've hosted a lot of people in the past and have been hosted by a lot of great people while traveling. I have a good bit of hitchhiking and general wandering experience and love to meet anyone and everyone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far I've done a lot of road trip type stuff including driving out to LA when moving there after college and more recently I've been hitch hiking around the midwest and southeast and have met some amazing people so far. By early March I'll be overseas and hope to meet a lot of folks that way!

I love meeting new people, learning things, reading or talking about stuff people are reading, playing music, hearing new music, and a lot of other stuff. I'm usually up for anything, or at least I'll tag along and watch if nothing else.

I learned a little bit about carpentry and general handy man stuff at an apprenticeship I recently had, and I'd be happy to help fix anything or teach you whatever I know. I also know the basics of guitar and am usually carrying mine with me. If you're interested in Anthropology or Sociology I can recommend a few good readings I had to read while getting my degrees, and I'm always up for just talking about social sciences in general. I'd be happy to teach you whatever I know about languages and would love to be taught whatever you know.
