I feel life is a collection of experiences, so I want to make my collection as full and varied as I can. I love traveling - both to experience new things and also see amazing sights. I've actually lived in Michigan my entire life (I love being close to my family), so I use every chance I can get to travel out of state (particularly anywhere with mountains. I'm spoiled with the beautiful beaches of Michigan, so don't need to travel to beaches). I get four weeks of vacation time at my job and wish I had more. Personality wise, I think a good way to sum me up is that I was an Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts. I think most the typical stereotypes hold true: slightly nerdy, responsible guy that loves being active and the great outdoors!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I truly enjoy meeting new people, and this seems like a great way to do it. I also actually enjoy having a busy living space, with people coming and going. I'm the kind of guy that always wants at least one roommate, not to save money, but just to have another person around. I've been doing more solo travel recently, so I'm looking for people to stay with, rather than a cold, boring hotel.

Interests

I love running (a lot), board/card games, potlucks, traveling, national parks, national forests, hiking, camping, cereal and milk, maps/globes, and much more. Apparently another one of my interests is losing umbrellas, because I'm always doing that.

I have a twin brother and we've been to the world's largest twin festival. I'm talking over 2,000 sets of twins and most were dressed alike. Mind blowing

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could probably teach you some card games. Or, be a good board game player if you own some (I don't travel with any of my own). If you have any interest in running, I could talk your ear off about that. So if you want training tips, I could help with that. I also love hearing about travels and am actually someone who is truly excited to see someone else's vacation photos.
Also I'm clean and respectful. My cousin has told me I was her favorite guest ever. But then again, she is related to me, so her praise may be slightly biased.
