Aloha! You made a great choice coming to visit O`ahu and Honolulu!

As an 18 year resident of Honolulu, a former videojournalist, and current spokesman for the Dept. of Parks and Recreation, I am very well acquainted with Hawai`i. I love meeting new people and showing them the beauty and awesomeness of these islands. I have a 3-year-old dog named Mele, she is very cute and playful. I've never met anyone who didn't love her!

I am a firm believer that good people attract other good people, and that the Aloha Spirit of being kind with an open heart is the best way to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I began hosting in the beginning of 2014 and have enjoyed it immensely! I traveled around Brasil for the World Cup and stayed with Couchsurfing hosts most of the way. I had an amazing time and it inspired me even more to host people in Honolulu to share my little slice of Hawaiian paradise. I have since surfed on couches in Europe and the U.S., but I enjoy hosting so much more. It's hard to compete with Hawai`i.

Interests

I live a very active lifestyle, and love anything and everything outdoors (surfing, hiking, swimming, etc.) O`ahu has some sweet nightlife, and a great diversity of restaurants, so I certainly explore the cultural scene that along with its natural beauty.

Music, Movies, and Books

My tastes in musics, books, and movies is way too diverse to discuss here. I am an aspiring screenwriter, so I am very familiar with the movie scene. This is something better saved for a chat over a drink.

World traveler, been to over 35 different countries thus far. I'll probably visit my friend in London next year, but would love to hear about your travel stories and get some ideas for my next adventure.
