About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mission? That's so vague. In life, my current mission is to eat well and be generous; to learn the nature of what love is; to learn how to be good hosts of the earth; to learn more about the world around me; and to make good food and good music

ABOUT ME

I'm a veteran, a father, a full time student studying food sciences and music technology, a baker, a musician, and a cyclist. I'm good natured and friendly and can bake you bread if you let me stay with you

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of music. Animal Collective is probably my favorite band. I'm a big fan of most things that come from Baltimore like Future Islands, Double Dagger, Ponytail, Weekends. I like jazz, hip hop, rock, country, folk, some classical and some electronic. Don't care for nu-metal or most types of metal, Celine Dion, and current country and rock.
For films I like almost everything. To name some directors I like, David Cronenberg, Mathieu Kassovitz, Akira Kurasawa, David Fincher, Michel Gondry, Hitchcock, Sam Peckinpah, Vincent Gallo, Jim Jarmusch, and a lot more but you get the idea.
For books, I like fiction and non fiction. For fiction I like Murakami, Milan Kundera, Dostoyvesky, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, etc. For non fiction I read mostly about food, farming, nutrition, food systems, and social phenomena. Authors I like include Michael Pollan, Dan Ariely, David Foster Wallace, Jonathan Safran Foer, etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
