ABOUT ME

We are Nathan and Ry (not romantically involved). We have been friends for too long. Decided to pack up our lives and go on an epic journey of discovery. In January 2011 we are going to start travelling around the world. We just have an idea of the places we want to visit and things we want to see.
Ry will be heading out first and will be needing guidance to keep him out of mischief until I can fly out and keep an eye on him.

PHILOSOPHY

Nathan - Enjoy life, experience and learn about everything you can and don't be afraid to take the risks that scare you.
Ry - Take each day as it comes, never think to far ahead and live for the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are still very new to the whole couchsurfing experience. I (Nathan) was introduced to it by a friend I made in Ireland with the Uni studying ecology, I liked the sound of the community so decided to sign up. I have put Ry on my account with me as we will be spending the next few years travelling together, not as a couple (joke!).

Interests

Travelling, meeting new people, music and life.
Ry - I have an extreme passion for monkeys, I can't wait to work with Gibbons in Cambodia. Really looking forward to learning to dive.

Music, Movies, and Books

Nathan - Movies - eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, fight club, forest gump. Music - drum n bass, dubstep, alternative. Books - the unbearable lightness of being.
Ry - Movies - pulp fiction, trainspotting, sin city, casino, city of god. Music - mainly indie, drum n bass, dubstep and hip hop. Books - anything by Irvine Welsh and Hunter S Thompson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nathan - Went travelling around Europe in 2009 with a friend in a tiny car (Renault Twingo), was my best holiday yet...
Ry - swimming with dolphins was pretty cool and scuba diving.

Teach, Learn, Share

We would like to get a true understanding of the places that we visit rather than just seeing things as a tourist. We are interested in learning something new and we think the best way to do that, if possible, is to experience it.
