ABOUT ME

I'm a really open-minded girl, new to travelling but not for lack of knowledge or interest. I am a classical pianist and music is a huge part of my life. I'm traveling in order to get to know myself and explore the world around me. I love to learn and I'm branching out to discover new interests, since music sometimes seems to take over my world while I'm at home. My travel experiences so far have been fantastic and I hope to incorporate more travel in my future priorities.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea of exchanging spaces in order to not only meet interesting people but to learn about others' interests and culture. I think the more ways to develop an international community such as this one, the better!

I live in an apartment that can't really accommodate surfers conveniently (for them or us), but I am open to meeting surfers and helping them discover Winnipeg and Canadian culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had 2 CouchSurfing experiences - one in Bordeaux, France, and one in Gimli, MB, Canada. My stay in France was short but one of the most memorable experiences I took from 3 months of traveling in summer 2011. It was fantastic to get to know the Bordeaux culture from the inside out, meet and mingle with locals, and pracitce my French. My experience in Gimli was fantastic as well. It is an Icelandic community that I knew nothing about before visiting and it's in my own country! My next stop will actually be to Iceland itself!

I listen mostly to indie rock and folk music, and of course classical music of all kinds. I am in the midst of reading "The Great Gatsby" for the first time!
