Laid-back and I love to eat and see live music! I have been traveling with my husband, Mark since March and it has been one of the best experiences. It has been great meeting all types of people and shaking up the day to day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We just joined the Couch Surfing community before traveling, but we intend to host when we return to our home in Portland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are new to this website; however, we have been crashing with new people we have met. We have also been volunteering. We stayed with a cacao farmer for 2 nights on the East Coast of Costa Rica, camped on a man's property (turned out he enjoyed being nude a lot of the time) on the West Coast of Costa Rica for a month, lived on a "Magic Bus" for 2 1/2 weeks in Andalucia and we are currently staying at an old hotel in the Spanish Pyrenees, where we help with gardening, cooking and general upkeep. It is interesting because although our lodgings have been gradually getting more comfortable, we have found that living simply while camping in Costa Rica was maybe our most enriching experience. It is also a trip to witness the different dynamics when entering one's home and to cross the paths of some truly outrageous characters!
