I am currently living in Vancouver, pursuing a Master's in Public Health. I grew up in the Okanagan Valley (Interior British Columbia) and my work in global health and community research has led me to travel for many years, especially in Nepal and India.

I love traveling because it provides an opportunity to understand the beauty of this world through acknowledging and celebrating diversity. I can stay put in one city for months, exploring the everyday life of people. I am an advocate for connectedness, belonging, and creating welcoming communities all around the world.

There is no greater way of experiencing a new place than through a local perspective. I see no purpose of traveling to a place, checking into a hotel, and visiting a couple of popular tourist sites. There is so more to experience than this, and Couchsurfing has created a perfect platform to establish friendships over shared experiences.

Intereses

I am an aspiring photojournalist. I absolutely love the art of photography and use it as a tool for social change and awareness.

I love being outdoors, reading, writing, painting, photography, and hiking. I've recently taken up learning to apply henna.
