Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think one of the best ways to continually learn and grow is to meet people who are interesting, challenging, and outside your regular sphere. There are many ways to do that, couchsurfing is one.

Interests

Music (listening and playing), books, natural history, hiking, biking, living a healthy life, adventure in general; trying to live life as fully and conscientiously as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't generally choose favorites of anything; I usually say my favorite color is white because it is the combination of all colors. The same could be said for these topics, but for the sake of communication...

Music: folk, blues, funk, rock, country, electronic, reggae, afrobeat, pop, alternative, and all the spaces in between.

Movies: I like many but spend less time watching films than other hobbies, that said I could watch just about any Baz Luhrman or Cohen Bro. film over and over; also love fact based fiction and pretty slapstick comedy.

Books: Hesse, Camus, Allende, Hemingway, Dillard, Leopold; nature based writings and (historical/fantastical) fiction primarily.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I self published a book of photographs and text at the age of 22. It was designed as a tool to investigate emotional connection and mental boundaries towards the natural world.
