I'm ukrainian but study now in Austria, master programm spatial planning and research. I'm happy, because after 5 years of searching myself in different directions I finnaly found things I like and wish to do all my life. At first site it looks boring, but, as a sculptor create his statue, painter his picture and musician his masterpiece, I create space (at least I will))), give him new meanings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Each week I go out with my bicycle, or on foot, outside, choose the direction, in which I've never been yet and go to explore it. Visiting new places, meeting new people is the best way of relaxation and refreshment for me after a long busy week.
My aim is not to meet new people with the same interests, it's more important for me to hear about interests, hobbies, things that I've never seen or done, to see the enthusiasm and exciting of the storyteller).

Interests

As I already mentioned, I cannot see my life without bicycle and dozens of kilometers on a weekend. Also I like to collect different old books, sometimes I catch myself thinking not about the content of the book, but more about the age, were it was published, whom it belongs to and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like novels of Remarque, especially The Black Obelisk (have read it several times and have some feeling, that will read it one more time). Also I like stories about confrontation of single man against the whole system (like in Orwell or Bradbury).
The history of Eastern Europe also always in my wish list.
Cannot say about some preferences in music but recently become a huge pleasure from ukrainian folkband DakhaBrakha.
European movies are definitely worth of attention: french and german works as well as polish and russian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have you ever walking trough the mountain trail between two peaks, which app. 30 cm wide and 50 m long, and left and right is a precipice 200 m deep, without any safety net? I did, and I'm not proud of it and don't want to repeat))).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always open to Hosts and ready to share with my experiance in all aspects. Quite evening with a glass of warm drink and good conversation is a nice way to spend time with pleasure.
And few points to my score: I'm currently working in an ukrainian restaurant in Vienna and can with pleasure cook some ukrainian dishes)))
