I am looking to meet interesting people in various parts of the world during my 9+ month architectural travel fellowship!

ABOUT ME

I like to think of myself as easy going and into activity! I am relatively calm and quiet by nature, but that doesn't mean I am socially inept :) As far as the social-scene goes:
1)DO I DRINK?
I like to enjoy a good beer or two(particularly wheat beer) once in a while (especially if it is accompanied by pool, ping pong and\or foosball. I am by no means a party animal or club kid though, I just like to have a good time!
2) DO I SMOKE?
No, but I don't discriminate against smokers.
3)DO I DO DRUGS?
No, but I don't judge.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to both host (when I am home) and surf. I am up for any chance to meet new characters!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have both hosted surfers and been a surfer myself. I have had nothing but positive experiences thus far and hope to continue this trend. Couch surfing is an amazing opportunity to learn so much about people and places all over the world!

MOVIES: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Fall, The Science of Sleep, City of God...In general I am not a big 'blockbuster' type of movie fan. I prefer to be doing something active as opposed to sitting on the couch in front of the TV. With that said, I do enjoy a good movie from time to time.
MUSIC: Hmm...that's a hard one. I generally classify my music taste as anything EXCEPT country and heavy metal. Maybe a list of the most recent concerts I have attended would be more helpful...Sigur Ros (they put on an unreal live performance), Hot Chip, Brazilian Girls, The Ting Tings, Mos Def. I also really enjoy the music of The National, Lykke Li, Jose Gonzalez, as well as The Rolling Stones and Journey (classic rock will always have a place in my heart!)
BOOKS: Unfortunately I haven't been reading much lately. I usually spend any spare time I have sketching...

For me the whole couch surfing experience is about learning. It allows you to:
1) Get an insider look at the place and the people. An experience that you most definitely do not have when staying at a hotel or hostel with fellow foreigners.
2) CSers are generally well traveled people. This makes for stimulating conversations regarding various cultures and social topics from around the world.
