ABOUT ME

I grew up in Fort Worth, TX and then decided to go to the other side of the country for college. I went to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and studied engineering. During my time there I had the opportunity to take 3 month long trips abroad and numerous cross country road trips. I love to travel and look forward to the day when I'll be able to do so more often. I have been active in service learning and social justice since high school and hope to continue. I spent 2009-2010 as a Team Leader for AmeriCorps NCCC and got to lead a team of 10 young adults all across the U.S. helping various non-profits. I'm currently doing a second year of AmeriCorps as a New Sector Alliance Resident in Social Enterprise in Oakland, CA where I'm working with the Port of Oakland in their social responsibility division. I hope to one day get a MBA and a masters in Urban Planning.

I have traveled quite a bit in the last 6 years but my couch surfing experience has been limited to old friends.
