ABOUT ME

I am a Canadian who moved to Brisbane in November 2010 to start my exciting career as a hydrogeologist. I absolutely love being outdoors and am quite passionate about my scuba diving and rock climbing. One of my Achilles heels is live music of any sort, especially anything with brass. Camping is also a favorite past time of mine.

I am reasonably well traveled but have not seen nearly as much of the world as I would like.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting up with travelers or people new to Brisbane to show them around or invite them out for fun times. Between 5 room mates and my sporadic field work schedule, I am unable to host as much as I'd like.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but a phenomenal experience with couch surfing. Since introducing many of my friends to couch surfing, they have all become members surfing and hosting alike. I have hosted many people and surfed but little. I am planning a huge trip whenever my adventure to return to Canada begins so I would love to meet people and pass on the CS love!

兴趣

I am an excessively active person. I love adventure sports with a particular interest in rock climbing, surfing and SCUBA diving. I used to be a rather active snowboarder but have not been in the snow since 2010 so I believe a trip is well overdue.

I have recently started introductory swing dancing and blues dancing which turned out to be amazing!

I am a social person and enjoy social beverages every now and again. I brew some of my own beer as well and enjoy social beverages.

I am a very big movie buff and enjoy my B rate movies.

I love all music, especially stuff I have never heard before and I am a huge fan of live music.

I have rediscovered my old love for reading. I love broadening my horizons so recommend away!

Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro was likely the most amazing adventure I have ever been on. I took so much away from that adventure and would highly recommend it to everyone and anyone. I did it on a trip by myself with a guide and I think that is part of the reason it was even more special. I only had myself to rely on and to know what you can accomplish by yourself is a pretty amazing feeling.
