About Me

I'm a relaxed guy. New to the traveling world, and pretty enthusiastic about it.
I'm a photographer and I like most kind of arts. And I also like technology and some geek stuff, I guess.
I love playing card games, and even more if it's with a good company, and a beer (or Mate) involved. I also enjoy any kind of game, for that matter.
I like hiking and hanging out with friends.

You can see some of my pics (not that it matters, but maybe you're curious, who knows..):

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

-I want to share an experience and life stories. Meet new people, get to know different cultures and languages; get to know the world, by its inhabitants and not only its places.
-Offer a home to a traveler, not just a house/roof. Same when I'm the traveller.

Interests

A bit of everything, I guess: photography, literature, music, nature (trekking and hiking), technology, some sports, games, etc.
I also like to get to know how things work.

Music, Movies, and Books

-Music: I listen mostly Metal (a lot of sub-genres of) and Rock (mostly classics). But I can enjoy some other genres such as Blues, Jazz, Folk, Ambient, Tango, etc.
What I - usually- don't enjoy is Pop, Reggaeton, Cumbia, etc (most of the mainstream music that you can hear on any radio station).

-Movies:
Some directors that I usually like: David Fincher, David Lynch, Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Zemeckis, Spike Jonze, The Wachowskis, Steven Spielberg, Guy Ritchie, Clint Eastwood, Wes Anderson, Ridley Scott, Alejandro Iñarritu, Guillermo del Toro, James Cameron, J.J. Campanella, etc.

-Books: Literature. Good old classic writers, such as Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Hermann Hesse, George Orwell, Jack London, J.R.R Tolkien, Ray Bradbury, Franz Kafka, Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortazar, Horacio Quiroga, etc (in no particular order).
As well as some newer/contemporary authors, mostly fantasy writers: Ursula Le Guin, R.A Salvatore, George R.R Martin, Steven Erikson, Liliana Bodoc, Scott Lynch, Brandon Sanderson, Christopher Paolini, Ian Cameron Esslemont, Pathrick Rothfuss, Joe Abercrombie, Anthony Ryan, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-When I was a kid (about 12) I made my own zip line! Ha! It was really fast and adrenaline pumping!
-I got shot in the eye and survived to tell the tale. Although my eye didn't. I was 11 this time. It was quite hard to recover from that, but I made it. I believe it's my biggest achievement.
-I've never won the lottery! Oh wait... That's not amazing nor impressive....
-I've taught how to play truco (an argentine card game; one of the weirdest and hardest game, both to learn and master) to a French guy. The amazing thing is that the game relies heavily on the talking part -which is in Spanish, with too many specific words and slang; and the guy didn't know a single Spanish word-, the teaching was in English -2nd language for both of us-, and the game is played with Spanish cards, instead of the more popular French ones.
Although the most amazing part is that only people that knows how to play the game would understand how amazing my feat was, ha!
-Skydiving in Fox Glacier (New Zealand).
-I've done a 1 year working holiday visa experience in New Zealand, and another one in Norway (again, 1 year).
-Experienced both aurora borealis and midnight sun, in northern Norway (Lofoten Islands).

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: anything I know, as far as I have the words to explain it (especially if it isn't in Spanish). Anything ranging things that I know to things that I have no clue but I can make up in a convincing tone :p
Learn: anything. I'm curious, what can I say...
Share: time, patience, experiences, a good beer, Mate (the argentine infusion/beverage), etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My time, my experiences, some photography knowledge/tips, movie time, Mate (same as above, I'm referring to the argentine beverage), help with house maintenance, always good mood (at least I'll do my best), etc.
My cooking skills aren't that good, but I can try to cook some argentine typical dishes... if you accept the risks... haha.
