Overview
About Me
I come from the city of Homs in central Syria, and in 2000, I went to Jordan to pursue dental technology studies before returning to Syria to study dentistry. During my time in Syria, I also played basketball. I co-founded "the White Helmets," the largest humanitarian organization dedicated to search and rescue in Syria in 2013. In 2019, I moved to Canada for a more secure life and currently work as a research assistant in mental health at the University of Victoria.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Lately, I completed a book written by an Egyptian author and traveler who shared his experience of traveling to Iran. He discussed how Couch-Surfing aided him in meeting new people and learning about the culture and history of the place during his journey. As I am fond of traveling and socializing with people, I made up my mind to become a part of the Couch-Surfing community to host and meet more individuals.
