Overview
About Me
I am a PhD student at IISER Pune, India. I am from Kolkata, India. I did my Bachelors of Science in Microbiology, followed by Masters of Science in Biology. Presently I am pursuing PhD in the field of computational structural protein biology.
I love to travel in India and whenever time and money or chance permits outside India. I get intrigued by both natural beauty and olden/modern architecture. I can spend days traveling without thinking about other things (only if I could afford to do do).
I am a big time foodie. I love to try out food from all over the world. Be it continental, italian, french, mexican, oriental, american or indian, I love all of them. I not only love to eat, I also love to cook.
I spend most of my time sitting in front of my computer coding to solve problems related to the study of proteins. When I am not doing that I am either binge watching TV series or movies or listening to soft music. I rarely read though.
I love to spend time talking random things with my friends and family.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel.. I have travelled a lot within India. India being a big country provides a diversity of culture, natural beauty and architecture as one moves from north to south or west to east. I also had the chance to visit UAE and stay in London for 4 months for professional reasons. I took that oppurtunity to explore Scotland, England, France, Germany, Austria and Czech Republic. Thanks for my PhD and collaborations and conferences, I sometimes get to travel for work too. And being from India, I really cannot afford to spend a lot of money on stay, travel or food. Hence I am couchsurfing so that I can get my stay without burning a hole in my pocket. Also couchsurfing will allow me to meet newer people and get to know about the culture and habits of people around the world
I am living in a hostel presently, and hence cannot host anyone, as hostel rules prevent outsiders. But once I have my own place I would love to host people.
