Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People, culture and stories.
On my first "solo" trip to Japan, I realised darting from historic building A to boat cruise B to cooking class C wasn't satisfying any more. It felt superficial, and "look at how much I did" - why was I even here?
I wanna get know the lifeblood of a country, it's people, and experiences at home. Couchsurfers sounded like the opportune way!

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now, I'm obsessed with "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young and the best of 70's rock in general. It's turning into the soundtrack for the trip so far.
Otherwise, I was reading "Watchmen" and "Sapiens" before I left, but I had to leave them at home to save weight :')

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food - I love cooking and have made meals and desserts for all the friends and family who've hosted me. Nothing is out of my purview and and if we can both learn something through food, there's nothing better!

Stories and culture - The main purpose of travel for me is to absorb, process and distil my experiences of places and cultures everywhere I go. It's also been to meet people and share stories and experiences that I've seen. I love collecting these, and love sharing them even more :D
