About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding Myself

ABOUT ME

Quite simply a Traveller. Nothing makes me more happy then being on the road. Fellow travellers would say I'm an out going, talkative (Been told way too much but I disagree - Talking is good), loyal, a food friend and bubbly person who has a plan and organised but also spontaneous. I love meeting new people from all over the world and from different cultures which I find fascinating and love learning from fellow travellers. I travelled 18 months straight being my longest stretch on the road which is the best thing I have done in my life to date. I have a good balance in being mature when I need to and but having a laugh, taking on challenges and chances as hate What Ifs!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Never Say Never...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When travelling and even whilst living home in London I have been to some events through the groups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed whilst on the road and met some amazing people who I would never have crossed paths with so feel couch surfing is an awesome experience.

I have also had travellers I met the road surf at mine in London even though they not on the site, just welcome them at mine as allows you to cross paths again with other travellers - Nothing Beats Travel Reunions.

Interests

I enjoy a wide variety of activities, as a traveller been trying new things that have been eye opening. I enjoy writting and traveling has given me the opportunity to express myself via writting. I like to stay fit and am an active person so rarely sit still and full of energy. I enjoy the beauty of nature which I have come to appreciate more on my travels, sports are fun and especially love hitting the dance floor. I also enjoy music, which I find relaxing & thought-provoking. Love food way to much, don't we all and I enjoy cooking. I just wanna enjoy life, make the most of it having new experiences...

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list...I have an unlimited movie card back in London and watch every new movie in the cinema and love it.

I am really mostly into Bollywood, enjoy my culture when possible, so would say I am Western with many Eastern traditions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Voluntary Work at an Orphanage in Nepal, making a difference in the lives of the children who have no one. Most rewarding experience of giving and receiving with so many smiles.

Hiking almost a month on the Himalayas is also right on top of the list.

Recently volunteered with an amazing organisation in Puerto Rico building roofs for those who lost their homes in the hurricane. What an amazing feeling to give someone their home back, their happiness and gratitude was just priceless.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have always worked with challenging young people. As a Youth Worker and a Mentor I would break down barriers and get them back into society, increasing their self esteem and confidence.

Dealt with many issues in group workshops and 1.1 case loads, such as rape, domestic violence, eating disorders, self harm, bereavement, anger, suicidal, social skills, bullying, sexuality, sexual abuse, drugs and alcohol, friendships etc.

It's important for me personally to be in roles where I feel I can make a difference and feel rewarded. I have also done a lot of voluntary work in UK and whilst travelling in orphanages and schools, where the kids really left an imprint on my heart I will never forget.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun and banter, culture, stories and adventure, my couch if they in London, my friends. Obviously respecting their home whilst surfing and taking with me their culture and an experience and that hopefully leads to new friends.
