ABOUT ME

I get to know people best at the first encounter through their actions, their hands, their eyes, their vibe... not through their words. And when it comes to myself it is always strange for me to give a description but I will try :s

I do not consider myself to be of any nationality, do not care in the slightest bit about borders and barriers and try to at least remove as many personal limitations as I can. Travelling is in a sense a mean for me to both connect with individuals of all walks of life and cultures and to challenge myself in as many ways possible.

In more detail, I was born in Iran and moved to Canada at the age of 4 and lived in Montreal, Vancouver and Victoria. At 9, I again went back to Iran for 2 years and since my return to Canada, have lived only in Montreal.

Since 2012, I decided to not pursue higher studies but rather to focus on certain projects and last year I quit my jobs, sold and left almost everything in Montreal and set foot onto a new path which involved travelling in Asia.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, since Joining towards the end of 2013, I have surfed a few times and met people through CS. But I am truly looking forward to being able to host fellow travellers once I choose somewhere to settle for awhile (probably Montreal).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had only heard about CS a few years ago but this year I became an active surfer during my trip to China. My travel mate already had had quite a few positive surfing and hosting experiences and so far, I can only make positive comments as well.

I enjoy the serenity of simply sitting calmly just as much as the thrills of adrenaline-driven activities such as sky-diving... and quite a bit that is in between!

- I love languages so I would gladly participate in a English/French/Farsi-'any other language' exchange.
- We could practice and improve our Spanish.
- Photography is a hobby and has been a part-time job but I could teach the basics and we could go photo hunting together.
- The basics of a few latin dances.
- Cooking and experimenting with others is often enjoyable.
- In general, I have a passion for gaining new experiences and skills and would love to share the journey and process of learning with others :)
