ABOUT ME

I love traveling, meeting new people and being outside. I originally signed up for CS because I thought it would be an awesome, cheap way to travel. It turns out that was true: I had some great hosts who were able to show me around their cities. Then I was stuck in one place so I started hosting and realized how much fun it was to have people come through and share their stories with me. Now I'm torn whether I like hosting or surfing more.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a couple of times and had really great experiences. I hosted a fair bit in Salt Lake when I lived there and now I'm taking my time traveling back to Utah. I hope to surf and meet a bunch of great people along the way.

EXPERIENCE COUCHSURFING

I have surfed in Crested Butte and Salt Lake City. Both times my hosts showed me around the city and made me feel very welcome. I tried to do the same in all my hosting experiences while living in Salt Lake this past winter.

Interessi

Seeing as much of this beautiful world as I can, hiking, getting to know the world through the eyes of people with completely different experiences than my own, skiing, oscillating between feeling a strong sense of purpose and feeling like I have no idea what I'm doing or where I'm going, learning to rock climb, navigating cities without the need for a car (though I do currently have one).

Musica, film e libri

Right now I really enjoy The New Pornographers, Wolf Parade, Metric and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, just to name a few. I'll watch most any type of entertaining movie. I tend to really enjoy good documentaries. Some books: A People's History of the United States, Infinite Jest, Dark Star Safari, The Name of the Wind.
