This feel a little like a dating profile but here goes. I was born and brought up in Surrey, around 30 minutes south of London. I work as an IT Manager and love my job and even more so now that they're agreed to give me three months off to travel to Nepal. Whilst there I'm going to be trekking, volunteering at an orphanage, possibly doing some other volunteering, lots of photography and I hope to meet some amazing people along the way.

Not necessarily looking for accomodation but would like to meet people to hang out with, maybe do some photography with, run, mountain bike and learn about Nepali culture. So if you're a local or another traveller like me, get in touch.

I'll be in Kathmandu from 16th September until 19th September 2017 before going to the orphanage for a week or two and then returning to Kathmandu. The rest of my trip I'm going to make up as I go along depending on who I meet and what takes my interest :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling around Nepal for three months starting in mid September 2017 and looking for people to hang out with in Kathmandu and Pokhara and perhaps people to trek with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Eclectic music tastes although mainly rock and indie.

Film tastes vary but not really a fan of big Hollywood blockbusters. A do like a surreal Wes Anderson film like The Royal Tenenbaums or The Grand Budapest Hotel. Other than that, Leon and Amelie are amongst my favourites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tricky question.

When I was 6 I persuaded my parents to send me on a week's activity holiday in Wales. It's probably what triggered my love for the outdoors and sport in general.

Or that in 2001, I gave up a well paid job to go an live in the French Alps for a year.

Or that for the last few years, I've given up time over Christmas to work for a homeless charity in London.

OK, none of those are that amazing but they're the best I've got :-)
